New video from ‘The Midnite Sons’ — “Cabin Fever”
Nov 18th
Super proud of this one. The Midnite Sons, myself and my brother Kicker Dixon, made a video with our good friend and visual mastermind John Coyne for our original produced track “Cabin Fever”, a slow burning down-tempo electronic monster with a pretty little melody on top. The dramatic progression begged for visuals, and after careful deliberation the concept of a man slowly but surely loosing his shit was born. Enjoy, and if you dig it, please help spread the word!
DJ PLATURN X JOHN COYNE | ‘THE BONES’

“DJ PLATURN X JOHN COYNE | THE BONES”
An original audio/visual composition between yours truly & the uber talents of John Coyne.
This project, which took several months to make, consists of over 90,000 HDR still images along with HDR video.
DJ PLATURN X JOHN COYNE from John Coyne on Vimeo.
A brief explanation of the title: the ebony keys of a piano always reminded me of bones along with a sort of skeletal feel of the pictures taken, as in the inner workings of a society and those aspects of your day to day that tend to be ignored but can be viewed in such intense detail when you splice 90,000 HDR still images into a 4 minute and 44 second video.
Enjoy and please help spread the word!

Description: the world famous dj platurn lays it down in this totally student film-a-fied doc.
This was a student film shot almost 10 years ago by my brothers buddy Dylan — it sums up well not only how green I was but also how superbly underground my credo was at the time. Enjoy!

Before iPods (or even CDs) there were boomboxes. It’s been 20 years since they disappeared from the streets, but the nostalgia they evoke is about more than stereo equipment. We’ve changed the way we listen to music — and to each other. Watch a video about the history of the boombox.
