This dude fuckin’ rules! If you don’t know about Thru-You then do your homework.
By the way, I kinda tried something like this a while back with Peter Gutter on the drums – not nearly as well put together on my behalf but kinda fun anyway:

The Slits – Heard It Through The Grapevine (Platurn Qwik edit)
Nov 8th
Tiny little edit of ‘The Slits’ awesome cover of “Heard It Through The Grapevine”. Not a whole lot done to this except even out the intro and outro and a small master. More than anything just wanted to give the track some additional exposure due to Ari Up’s (lead vocalist) recent passing and the fact that this cover is bad ass. This joint has everything I love about post punk disco shit — funky as hell with all the right bass and drum combinations plus an awesome vamp out in the middle.
Dig it!
