LET’S CHAT! Youth remixing the art of community change | Saturday, May 21st | 3-7pm

This Saturday, BRL kicks off a huge ALL-AGES Event with our partners and folks from the community of Ashland. Attached is flyer for the event which is called “Youth Re-Mixing the Art of Community Change”. The purpose of the event is to raise awareness about the high rate of teen pregnancy in the communities of Ashland, Cherryland and San Lorenzo (highest throughout Alameda County). Youth in our pilot Let’s CHAT program have been working hard conducting research on this topic and developing a comprehensive media campaign which includes:

•PSA’s in English and Spanish
•15-track compilation Hip Hop Album called, “It’s a Teen Thang!” featuring the BRL youth and BRWN BFLO
•Printed Posters (18×24)
•T-Shirts

Come through to support BRL and youth of Let’s CHAT this saturday at the newly built Jack Holland Sr. Park (near the future site of the Ashland Youth Center). I would greatly appreciate you spreading the word about this event to your networks. Saturday’s event will feature:

•Performances by BRL Youth
•Pefromances by BRWN BLFO
•Skate Board Competition
•Family and Children Activities
•Music by DJ Platurn (Oakland Faders)
•Live Mural by Bounce (Trust Your Struggle)
