The long awaited remix EP from yours truly and the genius of Kat ((O1O)), vibes afficionado extraordinaire. The aim was to kick the usual DJ remix in the ass and make entirely new and semi-modern sounding music beds for these classics that we all know and love. The EP is free but feel free to donate a lil’ sumthin’ so that we might could make another one.

I remember when I first copped this record during my diggin’ for jazz breaks phase (never really ended honestly). This album is beautiful, as is most of Ramsey Lewis’ work from the late 60s and the decade after. This is def a favorite and I love how two absolutely classic Hip-Hop tracks used two entirely different parts of the song. Ironically, Mr. Lewis is one of the most outspoken dudes out there shittin’ on sampling, still to this day. If you only knew Ramsey — if you only knew
