That means happy birthday in Icelandic btw.
One of Turntable Lab’s biggest sellers and a hit amongst chance taking DJs in the game, the ‘Sex Brass’ mp3 is now available for free in commemoration of Marvin Gaye’s birthday — he would have been 72 today.
If you want the WAV + artwork, get it at Turntable Lab here.
And here’s the video edit in case you haven’t seen it…
Hot Peas & Butta – Japan Exclusive mixed by DJ Skeme Richards
Mar 30th
Hot Peas & Butta – Japan Exclusive mixed by DJ Skeme Richards
Available at http://recordbreakin.bandcamp.com/album/japan-exclusive-mixed-by-dj-skeme-richards
Originally released as a promo only CD giveaway in celebration for the Hot Peas and Butta Tokyo party held in Japan back in September 2010 and mix by DJ Skeme Richards using all 7″ original vinyl records. Due to the recent events in Japan, Hot Peas and Butta has teamed up with Record Breakin’ Music to re-release this mix in the form of a download that includes the original artwork which can now be purchased. All proceeds will go to a charity to help the people of Japan deal with the unfortunate events that have struck them in the past few weeks.
We have kept the price of this download low and encourage everyone to support this cause. The people of Japan have supported Hip Hop, Funk, Soul, Rare Grooves and other musical genres that have originated in our country to the fullest. They need our support.
We thank you in advance for your contribution and we hope that you enjoy this mix as much as those in Japan have since getting their first taste of Hot Peas and Butta.
100% of the proceeds go toward the Japan Earthquake & Tsunami Relief Fund via GlobalGiving.org

Zion I & The Grouch – “Heroes In The Healing Of The Nation” available now!
Mar 29th
The homies Zion I & The Grouch have a new album and it’s the bizness for sure. I did cuts on “I Used To Be A Vegan”, a dope track with a funny little story about fake ass rastas and trustafarians (among others) — at least that’s my take on it
The time is here all massive! The new collab album between Zion I & the Grouch, “Heroes in the Healing of the Nation” is out today! It is an auspicious moment indeed. We’ve been performing the songs for the last week, and the energy is resonating around both the lyrical content and the production. It feels like this album has dropped at the perfect time when we all need a bit of encouragement to continue to think forward in a positive manner. The world is intense right now and we’re all facing challenging situations, however, it is our intention with this album to give a simple reminder to engage with the spirit within. Thank you for all of your support family! Enjoy and share the album with your loved ones. May your thoughts be blessed. Light, guidance and protection. Bless!
Buy the album direct from Itunes here and support good Hip-Hop and real Bay Area music.
