Fight The Power

dt6klapt9

DJs and fans of groovy music that means something, I started a list of 100 resistance songs you can and should play in your sets (live/radio/mixes) or simply listen to for inspiration to stay strong in the next four years. This is by no means comprehensive, primarily on the funk/soul/hip-hop side of things, leaning on my own personal taste, and is a work in progress. With all that being said, feel free to add by submitting your input to get@djplaturn.com (subject line: fight the power) and let’s get this list as complete as possible while we spread it around. This is for all of you who DJs (and listeners) that think you don’t have a voice when in fact you do — the music you play in your sets is more powerful than you know. Take a stand. Stand for something. Use your position to instill positive change. Power to the people.

*note: if you want any of these mp3s and are having a hard time tracking them down, holler and i’ll lace ya.
